Wetland Reverie;
Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas
24"x24"
What began as a quiet return to a familiar practice became a rediscovery of self—a reminder that creativity often waits patiently beneath the surface, ready to re-emerge when the time is right.
Wetland Reverie was among the first paintings to come to life during this return. Captivated by the interplay of light, reflection and the quiet elegance of wildlife, the inspiration came by the sense of calm found in nature’s unguarded moments.
The egret, absorbed in its own ritual of preening, became a reflection of that experience: a gentle return, a restoration, and a reawakening.
Through luminous reflections and layered brushwork, the painting embodies both the stillness of the wetland and the artist’s own journey back to creative expression. It is a celebration of finding one’s way back to something deeply familiar, and discovering that it has been quietly waiting all along.
